Our last degree expedition officially kicked off this evening with a welcome reception and dinner. It was a beautiful day in the Arctic...sunny, calm and stunning. Ian made the most of the day by taking a pre-expedition snow mobile trip to Templefjord where he saw several seals and polar bear tracks. Elham and Andrea stayed closer to home fine-tuning their kits. Taylor also worked on his kit and helped out with other pre-expedition logistics.
After the welcome reception they went out for dinner before heading in for an early night. There will be much to do tomorrow!
